Dosage Calculation

There are some small thing you need to learn.
1. Dosage calculation which are "Formula" and "Table" you can choose only one of them
2. Dose incremental

Dosage Calculation 1 - Fomula

Emune GS-441524 Dosage Table

Formula:

[Cat's wight(kg) x Dose based on symptom(mg/kg)] ÷ concentration select(mg/ml) = ?? ml/day       

Example: Cat weight 1.5kg has diagnosed as Dry FIP Ocular. The owner select Emune 20mg/ml concentration
Factor:
- Dose based on symptom for Dry FIP ocular = 10mg/ml
- Cat weight = 1.5kg
- Concentration = 20mg/ml

Calculate:
Starter Dose: (1.5x10)/20 = 0.75ml round up to be one decimal is 0.8ml/daily

Dosage Calculation 2 - Table

Formula:

Emune GS-441524 Dosage Concentration Table

Cat's wight(kg) x Dose/kg = ?? ml/day       

Example: Cat weight 2.5kg has diagnosed as Dry FIP Ocular. The owner select Emune 30mg/ml concentration
Factor:
- Concentration = 30mg/ml
- Dose based on symptom for Dry FIP ocular = 0.33ml/kg
- Cat weight = 2.5kg

Calculate

Starter Dose:  2.5x0.33 = 0.825ml round down to be one decimal is 0.8ml/daily.

Incremental Dosage

Emune dose incremental is different from existing protocol. We recommend to increase +0.1ml every 14 days and week12 the dose need to increase +0.2ml for last 7 days.

Advantage

  • Decrease Relapse and Recurrent rates.

  • No Need to recalculate an injection amount everyday.

  • No Need to control cat's weight anymore.


Example: Cat weight 2.5kg has diagnosed as Dry FIP Ocular. The owner select Emune 30mg/ml concentration

Calculate:  2.5x0.33 = 0.825ml round down to be one decimal is 0.8ml

Treatment Plan
Day 1 - 14(Week 1-2) = 0.8ml/daily
Day 15 - 28(Week 3-4) = 0.9ml/daily
Day 29 - 42(Week 5-6) = 1.0ml/daily
Day 43 - 56(Week 7-8) = 1.1ml/daily
Day 57 - 70(Week 9-10) = 1.2ml/daily
Day 71 - 77(Week 11) = 1.3ml/daily
Day 78 - 84(Week 12) = 1.4ml/daily
